Celebrate 10 billion apps for Google

Got an Android phone or tablet? Then here’s an offer you can’t afford to miss out on.

For the last few days, Google has been celebrating the fact that over 10 billion apps have been downloaded from the Android Marketplace by giving away a selection of top apps each day for just 10p.

So far, as part of the promotion, fast fingered fans have been able to grab some exceptional games, like Minecraft Pocket Edition, the Sims 3, Space Physics and Need for Speed Shift, as well as arty programs like Paper Camera, Pano and Sketchbook Mobile.

The promotion is set to last for ten days so you should be able to continue to bolster your app collection until the end of the week.

Today’s apps are:

  • Sim City Deluxe – A pixel perfect port of the definitive city building game.
  • Jenga – The official game of the post-pub favourite.
  • Just me and my mom – A charming interactive children’s book.
  • Backstab HD – A stealthy action assassination game in the mould of Assassin’s Creed.
  • Great Little Wargame – A 3D strategy game that blends class leading AI with humour.
  • Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty – Comic book based action adventure.
  • Backbreaker Football – That’s American Football, sadly, but incredible looking game all the same.
  • Raging Thunder – One of the best racing games currently available for Android.
  • Endomondo Sports Tracker – A must-have app if you enjoy running, will track your training by GPS and give you feedback on your performance.

Get them while they’re hot!
