Bend it like Samsung – flexible smartphones are coming
Samsung’s flexible phone technology to arrive late in 2013.

Bendy screens could be moulded around corners
Bend it, shape it, anyway you want it, Samsung has developed a new flexible display technology that will see the arrival of crazy-new flexible devices towards the end of 2013.
The technology has already been demonstrated and the screens use a plastic-based rather than glass substrate, which makes them virtually indestructible.
Samsung could be rolling these off the production lines now, but demand for traditional glass screens is so high that flexible screens are on the back burner. The new flexible technology will not only mean bendable devices but also ones with screens that are moulded around corners.
We’ll be looking out for some interesting new phones and tablets designed with wraparound screen that could herald a whole new way of using them – as well as a bunch of features that take advantage of the tech.
