Microsoft Surface UK prices revealed
The Microsoft Surface Windows RT tablet has officially gone up for pre-orders on the UK Microsoft Store, shipping on the 26 October.

At £399 it's pitched right against the Apple iPad and every other tablet on the planet.
So if you want to be among the first to have their hands on the new Microsoft device, it’s time to crack out the wallet!
The basic model is yours for £399, but don’t expect to get that clever Touch Cover that Microsoft has been boasting about, that’ll be another £80 and only in black. If you want a white or cyan cover, that’ll be a cool £99.99 on top.
For your money you get a mid-range tablet. It’s powered by the widely used Nividia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 2GB of memory, offers 32GB of storage and has a 10.6-inch display with 1366×768 resolution.
More specifics include dual front/rear 720p HD cameras, a USB port so you can recharge your mate’s iPhone, an SD card slot for plenty of expansion and a micro HDMI output for HD TV.
The 64GB model that comes with the Touch Cover will set you back £559. All models ships with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 RT Preview.
