New-look Sony PlayStation 3 Store ready to launch

UK and Europe ready to go for the 13 October and the US on the 23 October.

A new-look, easier-to-navigate Sony PlayStation Store will launch next week across Europe and across the US the week after.

This is the first major planned redesign for the PlayStation store and it’s a much needed one. With over 20,000 games and downloadable content (DLC) available, and over 100,000 films and shows in the store, finding what you want has become a problem.

Sony is promising a much smoother and easier to navigate experience. With faster ways to filter content by platform, price and peripherals support, sections have now been separated too. So PlayStation Vita owners won’t have to stumble around PSP content. The filtering can also handle typos and prediction, so you’ll get to what you’re after faster.

More obviously games now have hub pages, so you can find all the relevant news, DLC, demos, themes and full games connected to a big release franchise.

With the new slimline PS3 on the shelves and Christmas around the corner, this was a much needed update so we can enjoy our PlayStations a little more this Christmas.
