Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 announced
Find out what’s new in PES 2013 as it gears up for the annual battle with FIFA.
Set for release this autumn, the pre-match build-up has already begun for Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 endorsed by Real Madrid and Man Utd legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Officially unveiled by Konami, the new game is aiming to reclaim PES’ reputation as the most realistic footie sim around. PES Full Control will offer greater control over first touches and dribbling, including the option to nutmeg opposing players. Shooting and passing will be more accurate than ever thanks to greater control over height, power and pace.
PES 2013 also introduces Player ID, which aims to capture the signature abilities of top players so that they react in the game exactly as they would in real life. Expect plenty of slaloming runs from Messi, Exocet shots from Ronaldo and Drogba hitting the deck at every opportunity.
Jon Murphy, the European Team Leader for PES, had this to say: “This is an exciting time to be part of the PES community, and PES 2013 marks a new level of playability with the return to our key ethos of utter control and freedom. Football is all about making magic happen with skill and precision, and PES 2013 truly encapsulates this. Fresh faces within the development team and some very exciting ideas will breathe new life into the PES series, and we look forward to showing what we can do in the coming months.”
Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PS2, PSP, Nintendo 3DS and Wii this autumn. Check out the video below for Ronaldo-tastic teaser footage.
