It seems Samsung has taken a step closer to releasing Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for its Samsung Galaxy S2 phone.

Currently it has started the roll out of Android 4.0.4, which is the final iteration of the existing Android 4.0 ICS or Ice Cream Sandwich, paving the way for the next big Jelly-based release.

So far it’s understood that the current flagship phone, the Galaxy Samsung SIII, will receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean first followed closely by the Samsung Galaxy Note, which should then be followed by an update for Samsung Galaxy S2 owners.

Upgrades for all Samsung phones can be done with the Samsung Kies software tool or now Over The Air with OTA updates.
