Sony confirms dedicated BBC sport app in time for Olympics
A dedicated BBC Sport app will be released in time for the 2012 London Olympic games and Wimbledon.

Comprehensive is one thing the BBC has covered.
To join the existing BBC News and BBC iPlayer apps already available for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Sony Bravia Smart TVs, Sony has confirmed a dedicated BBC Sport app will be released in time for the London Olympics and Wimbledon.
While this might sound like BBC overkill, the new app will work on both the PS3 and suitable Bravia Smart TV sets, providing up to 24 simultaneous HD streams of sporting footage and multiple angles. Ensuring the best possible coverage of the top sporting events this summer.
Live coverage will be offered for every sport with each athlete, venue and country having its own page on the site. The BBC will also be providing a free mobile app, a mobile browser site and access for most other “smart” devices. For more details on the BBC’s coverage of the London Olympics click here.
