Facebook is taking the Olympic challenge online with a dedicated Olympic Facebook Page where you can explore and like around 100 of the competing athletes, many of the teams and all of the events.
This makes it the best way to keep up to date with your favourite athletes and events (providing they’re listed) as any status updates will be added directly to your Facebook news feed as they happen.
It’s not quite on a level with the 24 HD streams the BBC will be offering, but if you’re getting hyped about the Olympics it’s hard to beat having all the latest news right there on your Facebook homepage.
