Boost your signal and stay dry with this ingenious brolly

Launching at various summer festivals this summer, the ingenious Vodafone booster brolly not only charges your phone via built-in solar panels and USB connection but helps boost your reception signal too.

Designed by a chap called Kenneth Tong, who’s so clever he attends University College London, the booster brolly has flexible solar panels stitched into the canopy and additional aluminium struts that double as a high-gain antenna.

There’s no word on price or whether it’ll be a festival freebie but with rain and poor signals virtually guaranteed at this year’s festivals, getting your hands on one of these beauties is going to be a must.
