Virtual Tesco comes to Gatwick
A unique shopping experience helps you stock up before you fly.

Order your groceries before you go.
This week we have been very pleased to announce the opening of the UK’s first virtual superstore at Gatwick Airport.
The idea is that you can stock up on Tesco food and other essentials items before you fly, so they’re delivered ready for when you get back.
The 10 screens installed in the departure lounge enable you to scan popular items with an Android or Apple phone and the Tesco app.
Currently installed for a two-week trial, the initiative was set up after a similar system was a successful in South Korea.
Tesco Internet retailing director Ken Towle says: “We got a lot of interest in our Korean sites and it went viral, so we wanted to see if customers would use this, with a view to launching at more airports.”
Look out for them if you’re planning a trip out of Gatwick soon.
