OCR

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. OCR  means your PC will be able to decipher text on a scanned-in page, so that it can be searched through or cut and pasted as if you’d typed it into a word processor.

OmniCast

The rear speakers in a surround system reproduce the movie sound effects that physically occur behind the listener. They’re also used to create atmosphere and ambience. The technology uses reflected, non-directional sound to create the same effect experienced in a cinema with multiple rear speakers. Inside an OmniCast rear speaker, the woofer and tweeter are positioned so that they face upwards.

Optical digital output

There are two types of digital connections – coaxial (wire) and optical (fibre optic). Make sure your surround sound system input matches the input on your TV.

Optical Image Stabiliser

Uses gyro sensors operating many hundred times per second, for detecting movement in both the horizontal and vertical axis.
