Inkjet cartridges and laser toner guarantee
All Tesco branded inkjet and laser toner cartridges are fully guaranteed against defects due to faulty materials or workmanship.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a Tesco laser toner product, please call the Toner Helpline on 0800 091 0098 with your Tesco Direct reference number for advice.
If for any reason the situation arises whereby it is claimed that a Tesco branded ink cartridge or laser toner cartridge product has damaged the printer, the following shall apply. Tesco guarantees that, in normal use its products will not cause damage or abnormal wear when used in printers in which they are designed to operate. Tesco and the manufacturer of the Tesco products shall not be liable if any damage or abnormal wear to a printer could have been caused by goods not supplied by Tesco used in the printer before or after the use of a Tesco compatible inkjet cartridges, re-manufactured inkjet cartridges or re-manufactured Laser Toner cartridges.
If it is claimed that damage to the printer has been caused by a Tesco branded inkjet or laser toner cartridge, the customer should call the Ink Helpline on 0800 091 0095 or Toner Helpline on 0800 091 0098 to arrange for their printer to be inspected at the supplier’s cost.
Inkjet printers will be returned to the manufacturer for inspection. Laser toner printers will be inspected by an approved third party at the customer’s premises. After an engineer has inspected the printer and deemed any faults caused by the cartridge, the manufacturer will decide whether the printer can be repaired or a printer of similar specification should be offered. If a new printer is required, the manufacturer will arrange for a new replacement to be delivered to the customer at no cost.
An engineer’s report will take up to 20 days and replacement a reasonable period thereafter. The manufacturer determine the term reasonable period. Manufacturer’s liability for the buyer shall not exceed the amount required to repair or replace the printer if found damaged by a Tesco product.
This guarantee shall cease to take effect if the Tesco products are damaged, either wilfully or negligently, dismantled or otherwise tampered with or misused by, for or on behalf or the buyer or any third party.
Printer Life Span.
All printers have a finite life span. Componentry may fail due to it reaching the end of its working life (eg. The print head of an inkjet printer. In this specific case it is not the Tesco product which has damaged the print head).
Although we cannot determine the true age and level of use of a printer, the inkjet manufacturer will use their discretion to determine whether the printer has reached the end of its life.
This is best determined by looking back to the date the printer became obsolete according to the printer manufacturer. If we determine the printer had indeed reached the end of its life we accept no responsibility and will not be liable to repair or replace the printer.
In the case of laser toner cartridges this guarantee is valid for a period of 36 months from date of purchase and shall cease to take effect if the Tesco products are damaged, either wilfully or negligently, dismantled or otherwise tampered with or misused by, for or on behalf or the buyer or any third party.
The guarantee shall cease to take effect if the Tesco branded products have been purchased outside Tesco approved distribution channels (at the time of writing Store, Tesco.com, Tesco Direct).
This Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
